Coconut oil for hair loss is one of the most popular treatment options in hair care today. Although you could find hundreds of other products and treatments claiming to solve baldness and hair loss problems, there are just a few proven effective and safe. The Food and Drugs Administration in the United States also approve two main treatments for combating hair loss which are minoxidil and finasteride. Minoxidil is an over the counter treatment which is recommended for men and women having hair loss problems. It is a topical solution stimulating hair growth while finasteride is a prescriptive treatment only for men. It deals with the reduction of DHT which is a primary hormone causing hair loss.
